Cookie Policy
On this page
We use cookies and browser storage sparingly, and only what the site needs to function, plus one optional analytics tool you explicitly opt into.
Necessary (always on — no consent required)
| Key | Purpose | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|
pcw.cart.v1 | Stores your shopping cart contents (SKU + quantity) | Until cleared or checkout completes |
pcw.consent.v1 | Stores your cookie-consent choice | 12 months, or until you change it |
Checkout step state (pcw.checkout.step.v1, sessionStorage) | Lets you navigate back through checkout without losing entered data. Never includes card details — those are held only in the page’s memory while you’re on the payment step, and are cleared immediately after. | Cleared when the browser tab closes |
Order record (pcw.order.v1, sessionStorage) | Holds your order reference and summary so the confirmation page survives a refresh | Cleared when the browser tab closes |
None of the above are set as third-party cookies; all are first-party browser storage, and none are used for tracking or advertising.
Analytics (off by default — requires your consent)
| Key | Purpose | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|
Google Analytics 4 cookies (_ga, _ga_*) | Understand how visitors use the site (pages viewed, general navigation patterns) | Up to 14 months, per Google Analytics 4’s default retention setting |
Analytics cookies are set only after you click “Accept” in the cookie banner or enable Analytics in “Cookie settings.” You can withdraw consent at any time via the “Cookie settings” link in the footer, on every page — withdrawal stops future collection and removes the analytics cookies where technically possible.
Managing your choice
Your first visit shows a consent banner with three options: “Accept all,” “Reject all,” and “Settings.” “Accept all” and “Reject all” sit side by side at equal visual weight — neither is styled to stand out over the other — and no option is pre-selected. There is no separate control for closing the banner without choosing: it stays on screen until you pick one of the three. If you browse on or leave the page without choosing, nothing non-essential loads in the meantime — the same practical effect as rejecting — but no choice is saved, so the banner appears again on your next visit. You can reopen your preferences at any time via “Cookie settings” in the footer.
